You are busy with job and or family over the year and haven't got much time for sports activities? In this case we offer easy hiking tours, with little ascending slopes or altitude differences, which offer stunning panoramic views and many hidden treasures.

Such a tour leads to stress reduction and physical as well as mental well-being. We will accompany you securely.

Hiking through the high moor landscape of Wasenmoos

Start:Mittersill, pass Thurn number 44 / Stefans ski and snowboard school (1200 m)
Total walking time: approx. 2,5 hours / also suitable for families with kids

A hike full of beautiful views of the spectacular scenery of Hohe Tauern. During this rather easy tour you will hear many interesting facts about the high moor landscape, the former turf digging as well as some unique flora and fauna.

You need sturdy shoes!

Hiking to the picturesque mountain lake Hintersee across the Schößwendklamm

Start: parking ground Schößwendklamm / Mittersill - Felbertal (1050 m)
Total walking time: approx. 2,5 hours / also suitable for families with kids

This tour starts at the racing waterfalls of Schößwendklamm and goes over the meadows, into woods and over grassland, uphill and downhill, through to the picturesque mountain lake Hintersee. Here you have the opportunity to relax at the comfortable Gamsblick - pasture.

You need sturdy shoes, sufficient drinks and clothing suitable for hiking!

Panoramic walk through the Mittersiller Sonnberg

Start:Filz at the Mittersiller Sonnberg or as previously arranged.
Total walking time: approx. 3 hours / also suitable for families with kids.

This rather easy hiking tour leads to some local farms by using an asphaltic alleyway, to a forest road a little uphill, that over winding roads leads you to some breathtaking panoramic views of Salzachtal and the mountains of the National Park Hohe Tauern.

On the way you will hear stories about alpine flora and fauna as well as the traditions in Pinzgau.

A hike to Dorfer Öd

Start: Uttendorf (Schneiderau in Stubachtal) or as previously arranged
Total walking time: approx. 5 hours/ also suitable for families with kids.

The rather unknown and remote Dorfer Öd is situated in an idyllic side valley of Stubachtal. An insider tip for everyone, who needs some calm in his/her daily life.

Alongside the Ödbach (stream) we walk over serpentines or over a forest alley into Dorfer Öd. This hike leads to untouched nature as well as to the valley end and back. Animal observation possible!

Trail to Senninger-Alm (alpine pasture) in Hollersbachtal

Start: parking ground Seestube / entry Hollersbachtal.
Total walking time: approx. 4 hours / also suitable for families with kids.

A popular and diversified hike alongside a trail, with interesting presentation boards about fauna and flora of the region. The target is the comfortable Seningerbräu pasture, where you can indulge in some “Pinzgauer Schmankerln” (regional delicacies).

The way back will either take place over a forest road or the same trail.

Resches- and Maurerkogel: 2-peak-hiking at Mittersiller Sonnberg

Start: Hochwimmbauer / Mittersiller Sonnberg or as previously arranged.
Total walking time: 7 hours / also suitable for families with kids.

At the beginning we walk a forest road towards “Rescheskogel” and continue northeast over forest patches and clearings walking to Brunnalm (1720 m). Eyes wide open towards the target we need to walk further 460 height meters to the peak (2182 m) at Rescheskogel. After a short break and an impressive panoramic view the walk goes on over a short wind valley to the less known Mauererkogel (2129 m).

From there we will start descending, either taking the ascending route or convenient twisting roads towards the valley.

A beautiful tour especially during the fall flora.

Lachalm - high route

Start: Guesthause Berghof in Hollersbach (1170 m)
Total walking time: approx. 7 hours / ascent: 777 height meters / descent: 1090 height meters

From the Guesthouse Berghof a hiking trail leads us towards the coasting slide, before it turns into a rather steep hiking trail. After approx. 1 hour we leave the wooded area and reach Vorderlachalm. After a short break we walk south to the “Einbrennhütterl”. From there we can enjoy an impressive view at the valley and surrounding mountain region. After we reach Rossalm and Lachgrundalm a steep descent towards Hollersbachtal begins. You will have the possibility to stop at Senningerbräu-Alm (pasture).

Enjoy the silence and indulge in some “Pinzgauer Schmankerln” and chilled drinks. Over a wildly romantic stream trail we will return to the starting point.

Pihapper - Mittersill's landmark mountain

Start: Guesthouse Berghof in Hollersbach.
Total walking time: approx. 8 hours.

Mittersill's landmark mountain is a must for every hiking holidaymaker, who has some endurance, is not scared of heights and has some surefootedness.

From the Guesthouse Berghof a trail leads through a rather steep wooded area towards Pölsneralm. Here you have the possibility to take a detour via the Mittersiller Platte (platform) (detour of half an hour). Walking time to Pölsneralm is approx. 1 hour. A sustained ridge takes us south to the secondary peak, the Pflugberg (2414 m). Subsequently, a narrow ridge leads to the start of the ascending peak. From there you need to be surefooted! Over a short BLOCKGELÄNDE and after a small climbing passage (ladder/rope safety) we will reach the peak of Pihapper.

A basic level of surefootedness, freedom of dizziness and endurance necessary. Further you need alpine hiking equipment (climbing boots, clothes suitable for hiking, snacks and sufficient drinking water!)

Hiking to Birnlücke

Place of departure: Krimml
Start: Krimmler Tauernhaus
Total walking time: approx. 8 hours.

This lovely hike through Krimmler Achental (valley) starts with a valley-taxi-drive from parking ground number 4 the Krimmler waterfalls to the Krimmler Tauernhaus (1622 m). From there you can enjoy the beauty of the valley, which will be walked through to the Innerkeesalm, alongside the Krimmler Ache. Walking time approx. 2 hours. From the Innerkeesalm we will walk west to the center of the national park, at the beginning walking up a steep track, later using grassland hillsides and finally, over block stones to Birnlücke. Up there is the border to South Tyrol, thus offering a beautiful panoramic view of two countries, the view of Simonyspitze and Dreiherrnspitze (3499 m). Walking time from Innerkeesalm approx. 2,5 hours.

The same route will be used for descent - with a break at Innerkeesalm - where you will be served some homemade Pinzgauer cheese for strengthening.

A basic level of surefootedness and endurance necessary. Further you need alpine hiking equipment (climbing boots, clothes suitable for hiking, snacks and sufficient drinking water!)

Hiking to Tauernmoos lake at Stubachtal

Start: Uttendorf, Enzinger Boden at Stubachtal (1474 m).
Total walking distance: approx. 4 hours / also suitable for families with kids.

Our target is the reservoir, which is situated at an elongated cliff of the Tauernmoosboden at the southern end of Stubachtal - namely the Tauernmoossee.

Walking a beautiful hiking trail in the forest we will arrive at the reservoir, with the biggest water expanse of the whole valley, after 2 hours walking time. After a short break we will keep on walking north towards a massive dam. If you want you have the opportunity to walk up to the summit cross of Rötenkogel (2164 m) (approx. 40 minutes both ways). The descent will be over an asphaltic laneway.

Tour to Amertaler lake

Start: North portal of Felbertauerntunnel
Total walking time: approx. 5 hours.

The Amertal, a side valley of Felbertal will capture you with its bizarre beauty and isolation. Only a few meters away from the Felberntauern street you will walk an alpine track, which leads to Amertaler Scharte (nick) - along a waterfall, accompanied by alarm signals from marmots. Over ample block stones, face-to-face with the Teufelspitz (2818 m), you will reach the shore and the dam after approx. 2,5 hours. The surrounding beauty invites you to linger. The same route will be used for the descent.
